Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will launch without microtransactions
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will launch without microtransactions, according to PopCap Games producer Brian Lindley.
Speaking with Gamespot at a press event, Lindley said instead, the developer will have a look at in-game metrics and consult player feedback to determine the next step.
Lindley also touched upon the game’s native resolution.
“The Xbox One outputs in 1080p. I will say we’re not running at the same resolution as Battlefield,” he said. Battlefield 4 runs at 720p on Xbox One, and it was previously stated that PvZ: GW runs at 60fps on the console.
For further clarification on the matter, Gamespot contacted a PopCap representative.
“On next-gen consoles, players can experience all EA games at 1080p, ” said the rep. “Some are rendered natively, others are up-scaled by the next-gen hardware systems. Either way, the visuals are stunning and the gameplay is impeccable, regardless of platform.”
