By Blessmybag @blessmybag

Deep breaths, now, deep breaths...I wasn't sent the whole collection, but what I was sent by the Pixi PH team included what I was super excited for. The Pixi UK "Spring Into Summer" cosmetic collection is now live for purchase on the Glamourbox site! Here are a couple of goodies to get you revved.

I haven't got a lot of time at the moment and the products I was sent won't complete an entire look, so I'll honestly but briefly go through each thing I was sent with my first impressions about my initial hands on experience. Click through to see the full post.

First we begin with my favorite item from the collection, and it isn't makeup.

Pixi UK Spring Into Summer 2015 Collection | First Impressions, Gosh that Glow Mist!

Shake well before use, close eyes and mist.

This Glow Mist is so good I felt an immediate DIFFERENCE after the first sprays on my face. Don't be frightened by the name, it's got no shimmer or glitter in it, it's purely skincare. In case you didn't know, Pixi's founder Petra Strand has a sister who is a skin therapist and consults for their Skin Treats skincare division, fully explaining the sound effect and success of Pixi's Glow Tonic toner for example, which sadly is not available here. Their new Glow Mist is sort of like Japan's Hada Labo but with a gentler natural kick in the formula with the nourishing oils in. As Musings of a Muse mentioned, and I agree with her, it's like a more affordable version of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir which you also semi-shake before spraying. It has the most pleasant mild herbal/fruit scent exactly like a toned down version of the Caudalie one and it isn't in a glass bottle plus in an 80ml size it's travel friendly. This mist is my new favorite thing. After I spray my face from a 7 inch distance around thrice I work the product into my face with hands. It is such a summer thing to have and one that would make a soothing facial drink or a perfectly soothing after sun product.

This endless silky eye pencil duo is my next favorite. One side gives a metallic rose gold sheen and the other a deep matte espresso brown, *gasp* with both offering the "playtime" or blending period needed before they set and become waterproof. I've already reviewed the sumptuous quality of Pixi's endless silky eye pencils, you can read the review I did of Bronzebeam here, where I also use it to create a "no eyeshadow" smoky eye last year.

I got excited by the look of this supposed "plumping" gloss, but to be honest, sorry Pixi, this was a minor disappointment. It's a sound lipgloss for just gloss but it's one of those with the least amount of tint and a simple menthol cooling effect that isn't all that strong a tingle anyway, considering the name "Lip Lift Max" which is impressive I expected to be a bit more wowed. It's still handy to have if your lips are feeling the least bit poorly or dry for any reason, but in terms of shade...no payoff really.

This is basically (pun unintended) like Pixi's version of the Urban Decay Naked basics palette, they say it's for brows, and I completely agree it can be used solely for that purpose, but these can also be used as eyeshadow. The payoff isn't too soft, understandably so given the palette is supposed to be for brows and the pigment shouldn't smudge easily, but I tried some of the shades on my lids and they're comfortably blendable with minimal fallout.

The collection also has a summer eyeshadow palette with bronzer and blush, another eyeliner duo, and a Makeup Fixing Mist (which I've included links to in the first part of this post. Overall, Pixi thought this pretty collection through quite well. Right now I'm not sure if stocks of these are already available at Purebeauty for regular retail but they're already live for purchase online at Glamourbox PH (links in the first part of the post).
