Lori Loughlin lost everything in a matter of days due to a college bribery scandal.
This week we all were caught off guard when news broke that actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman took part of a college bribery scandal. It’s reported that Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli paid $500,000 so their two daughters were able to get into the University of Southern California. After being arrested both Giannulli and Loughlin were released after posting a 1 million dollar bond using their house.
This scandal that had a code name Varsity Blues is really starting to give Lori the blues when it comes to her career. Most of us know the actress from her role as Aunt Becky in Full House and now the reboot Fuller House. But she also is very well known with the Hallmark Channel fans from her Garage Sale Mysteries movies along with Holiday movies such as Homegrown Christmas and Northpole: Open For Christmas. She also was in the hit show for Hallmark Channel called When Calls The Heart. On Thursday the network released the following announcement:
“We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including ‘Garage Sale Mysteries,’ an independent third party production.”
For the fans of the show that means they have to wait for the new episode that was supposed to air this week. They are working on cutting her out of the show right away and that means re-editing and re-shooting what they have already done.
That isn’t the only thing the actress has lost. Netflix also announced that she will not be part of the final season of Fuller House. Now, this isn’t that big of an issue as she was just a recurring character in the hit re-boot but it’s another job that she has lost.
