One Festive Weekend

By Cait @caitscozycorner
Can anybody else really believe that this is actually the week of Christmas!? Weren't we just all celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving a few weeks ago. Zach and I actually were extremely busy this weekend and I was able to get some much needed pampering in my life!
Per usual, my girlfriend and I traveled up to our favorite hair salon ( it's an hour drive but so worth it for the price and amazing job they do with our hair ) so we always grab our favorite Starbucks drinks and gab all the way too and from. It's a great little ritual we do every few months just to catch up and enjoy a few hours of feeling gorgeous again!
After our morning, I ran a few errands and then hurried home to change and get ready for our friend's engagement party. The best part of this party was that it was an Ugly Sweater theme so we all got laugh at what everyone was wearing! Annie and Jordan received some great gifts and it was so nice to enjoy the night celebrating them and their upcoming wedding. I'm really bummed I can't go since they are having it on Florida in February and with the zeka virus still active ( and being 7 months pregnant ) I figured I better play it safe and stay home.
Sunday was all about baking in our house hold. A few years ago Zach and I made 17 dozen cookies! We don't mess around when it comes to baking some of our favorite sweet treats. This year we decided on delicious frosted sugar cookies and super soft chocolate chip cookies both recipes from his hometown's cookbook ( they have incredible things in this magic little book ! ) I'll be making peanut butter blossoms and peanut butter balls Friday ( yay for the day off ! ) and Saturday for a Christmas party we're attending!
Alright friends well I'm off to finish last minute Christmas shopping ( ugh yes I know it's bad ha ) and finalize that list of wrapping the huge boxes that have been piling up in a spare bedroom! I can't wait to see Lily's face when she opens everything in a few days. I'm sure she'll be shocked! Wishing you all a happy Monday!
