Once Upon A Time I Fell In Love

Once Upon A Time I Fell In LoveIt wasn’t that long ago that a huge thunderbolt of love came out of the sky and hit me with full force. It didn’t matter that I was married and had two kids. Sometimes love just comes into your life, and there really isn’t much you can do about it. You just have to go with it and see what happens.

I remember distinctly that it was a Sunday. There wasn’t much going on that day, just a regular run-of-the-mill day in Ellicott City. I’d been bogged down with daily chores, work-related functions, and keeping the family on target. I was tired, but something inside me knew I would be making the right choice later that night, though I didn’t tell anyone about it. Not even Jenny, my confidant, knew at the time the journey I was about to embark on.

At eight o’clock, I turned on the television, and my life hasn’t been the same since. I spend countless hours discussing what I did with another of my dear friends, Currie, who apparently fell in love just as I did. When we go for walks now, we talk about our addiction and try to figure out what will come next. We send texts in the middle of the day because something popped into our heads about what will unfold. It’s amazing. The plot always thickens.

Once Upon A Time I Fell In Love

Yes, Once Upon A Time, I fell in love, as did millions of others. How could we not? It’s the hopeless romantic bandwagon. The show epitomizes fabulous, creative writing. If you haven’t felt the thunderbolt yet, but yearn to, jump on board, though now you are a little behind. The thunderbolt will have to catch up to you. Luckily, you will have the summer to start from the beginning and get caught up for next fall’s season.

Once Upon A Time I Fell In Love

The mystique and curiosity has been built up for tonight’s season finale. Who is August? Is he Henry grown up? Is he Rumplestiltskin’s son? Is he Emma’s lover? Henry’s father? Will Belle reappear? Where is Katharine? The clever writers are positioned to show us their most powerful, magical stuff.

I am ready.

We all are.
