Oh Nuts!

Oh Nuts! When I was little, everyone at peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The only controversy was whether or not the crusts were cut off, or if you got the ends of the loaf.
Today, peanuts are quite a common allergen, but if you can eat them, they offer many vitamins and nutrients and are a good heart-healthy food.
At some markets you can pick up some peanuts, salted or not (I prefer not) still in the shell, to snack on. These are fun as removing them from the shell makes for it's own little activity and keeps you from eating as many as you would if they were already shell-less!

Justin's nut butters - almond varieties and hazelnut. While not peanuts, they still make for a protein packed spread and non-dairy alternative for bagels and such. The chocolate hazelnut butter is like a non-dairy version of Nutella, and a pretty "sweet" one at that!  They do sell an almond butter with honey, but only some vegans eat honey so you can obviously avoid that one if you prefer.
