November on the Little Backpacker

By Littlebckpacker @littlebckpacker

November has been a month marked in the calendar for a while now and it was always going to bring a lot of highs and lows. This month I have been doing my university placement in a special educational needs school and have absolutely loved it. Cannot believe there is only a few days left of it now, I don’t want to leave. Of course it hasn’t been without a lot of hard work and being ill… this time of year seems to always bring illness.

This month was also the month I said goodbye to JP as he flew of to Brazil where he will be living for the next year. Hello long distance relationship. So far it hasn’t been too bad but then it isn’t long until I fly out to see him! This month has been very life focused with barely any travel but I promise next month I will have so much to talk about….

Speaking of next month, I am not only going to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil but to Chile. Santiago to be specific, we are flying down for a few nights in this gorgeous city. I am so excited to be visiting not one but two new countries next month

Where I’ve Been Travelling This Month

London

Yes I know I live here, but it is rare I venture further than my little corner in Richmond. This month was an exception – I spent a lovely 24 hours in central London with JP before he left. We stayed at the Grange Hotel at Tower Bridge, discover the awesome cafe that is Four Corners in Waterloo and did a lot of walking. Walking has always been my favorite way to explore London and after the previous day of rain we decided to make the most of the dry weather. We walked all along the Thames, explored Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and walked along Regents Street until we hit Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road Station. As we saw London was getting ready for Christmas it was nice to just take everything and enjoy the city.

Blogs I’ve Loved This Month

You might be unsurprised to hear that with all of my planning and resource making I haven’t read any new blogs this month. I have managed to read a few posts by my favorite bloggers and they go a little like this…

Finding Paradise on Koh Lanta – Brenna’s beautiful pictures and sweet words have now made me so jealous of her trip to this island paradise. Struggling to forgive myself for missing this beauty.

Neil’s post about applying solo travel values to life really hit home for me as this is something I constantly fail to do. However, I find it really easy to revert back to my travel self the minute I get on the plane.

Lauren’s post about Ronda has had me wondering what I actually saw of this beautiful town during my stay this past June. I guess I will be needing to go back again!

Finally Emily’s photo round up from her America trip had me longing for a visit to one of my favorite countries ASAP.

December…

Oh December, I am so excited for you. The work load for placement will cease, there is Christmas fun to be had and then I’M OFF TO RIO DE JANEIRO AND SANTIAGO. Incase you cannot guess from those capitals I am beyond excited for these trips. We have things booked for New Year and I cannot wait to actually do Christmas on the beach and then fly to another new country for a quick break…

What did you get up to in November? Comment below with your highlight of the month and any big plans for December.
