No P’s Just Q’s

By Richardl @richardlittleda

A wordle made by you

Over the past three months I have nagged, cajoled and pleaded on here throughout my training period for the #richard100 ride on behalf of the Princess Alice Hospice. Today, I want to do something different. Whilst there is a lot of dispute about the origins of the phrase ‘mind your p’s and q’s', at least some interpret it as “Please and thankyou“. Working on that basis, I include a huge thank you to my 95 sponsors. I know some of their names, and others are anonymous. Below I have taken all the encouraging comments they have written on my justgiving page, and put them into a wordle. The only word I have removed is ‘Richard’, as it cropped up a lot!

When I first started training, a good friend (and veteran of such events) advised me to say the names of my sponsors out loud to get me up the steepest hills. It worked. There are so many now that I can’t remember them all – but I shall keep the pattern of their kindness in my mind.
