Groovy art of TMNT as they prepare for war
Michael Bay’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film will reportedly feature similar fighting style to that of The Raid. Indonesia’s traditional martial arts pencak silat took a whole new limelight in The Raid, mindlessly fast-paced and intense, yet brutally satisfying, at times leaving us gasping for air and shuddering for its utterly graphic and violent scenes. Co-creator Kevin Eastman discusses how in addition to Iko Uwais’ The Raid, the production team is also inspired by Jet Li’s Fist of Legend, both chosen as their main fighting styles in Bay’s TMNT.
