YC The Cynic is a rapper who has cut his teeth in New York City's open mic scene for years. Cultivating a small but fiercely loyal fan base, YC was able to raise over $5,000 from a Kickstarter campaign to fund his upcoming album with producer Frank Drake, entitled "GNK". Just the other day, YC The Cynic released the first single off the project, a song called "God Complex," with accompanying visuals, directed by Oliver Eid.
YC The Cynic's debut album "GNK" should be dropping sometime this year. Depending on how often YC decides to drop new music to build his momentum, we'll see whether or not a release date comes sooner rather than later.
