My Valentine Edit | II. The Smoldering Night Out

Smoldering night out…which is funny because I’m not going anywhere tonight, haha haha…Hardy Har Hut. Anyway, as late as this post is I am thrilled to present to you the look I’ve labored on for the afternoon which no one else will really see, which is why you seriously have to look at me right now. You’re all probably like “This was useful information…yesterday” we’ve been coming home late because of my brother’s school drama play nights. I told myself if I’m going to spend Valentine’s at home shooting this feature I might as well go for showstopping, not quite as heavy but pretty much in the same gear as the look I did on myself for the Star Magic Ball last year. By the way I was thinking of doing a red lip…but in reality while I love doing red every once in awhile (in unique tones that suit me) I really don’t for Valentine’s Day. Some people go heavy with lips, I go heavy with eyes.

Salon Perfect Glamorous Demi Wispies false eyelashes (from Purebeauty, they’re much cheaper in US drugstores). I reused this pair, cleaned it off after one use and had them tucked away for a day like today…and I’m not going anywhere.
MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Liquid Foundation, N117 mixed with a drop of N153, buffed over the face with an ELF Studio Flat Top brush.
Bobbi Brown Touch Up Stick (Concealer) in Sand – Heavy coverage concealer that’s perfect for spot concealing and okay to use under the eyes as well.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Super Matte Loose Powder – I swear by this as the best retouch setting powder on shoots, I was retouching a pair of lead talents overnight repeatedly with this stuff and it did not cake and made them look fresh on camera.
REVLON Photoready Matte Bronzer – You’ve heard me rave about this twice already. It’s matte, it’s versatile, and longwearing.
ELLANA Pressed Blush duo in Kitten /Peach Passion (buy here 5% off) - I used the pink shade for the day look, now the peach shade for a night out…in theory.
Fanny Serrano Custom Quad Palette – This is actually a sneak peek of a major find, I’ll say no more for now, used the lightest shade in the center of the lid *smirk*
Fanny Serrano Single Eyeshadow in “Diamond Champagne” – This is the main color on my eyes, buttery metallic gorgeousness, with moderate fallout, but this color is worth it. It’s a metallic taupe with a violet undertone.

Max Factor Masterpiece Colour Precision Cream Eyeshadow in “Coffee”- I used this as a base beneath the eyeshadow, makes a great lid primer.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Shadow/Liner – For me this is THE potted liner that tops any gel eyeliner, it comes with a plug under the lid. It’s more expensive because it’s not a gel eyeliner, it can be used the same way but it’s also a black cream eyeshadow that can act as a base.
MAC Riri Veluxe Brow Liner Pencil in Deep Brunette – I used this also in the day look, any brow liner in a great color that comes with a spoolie brush wins.
Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof Mascara – What you get is Amplified, volumized lashes as black as night, and the curl stays.
Smashbox “Always Sharp” Waterproof Kohl Liner in “Bare” – I don’t have big eyes so this helps open them up a bit more when applied on the waterline.
MAKEUP FACTORY Lipliner in #80 – This looks like a possible dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat pencil in Pillow Talk, it looks practically the same in my opinion.
Bobbi Brown Lipstick in “Baby Pink” - For me this is my current perfect pink-beige lipstick, it glides on creamy, not greasy.
Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in “Pink Sugar” #9 – I like wearing this also on bare lips but tonight I applied this in the center of the lip on top of the lipstick. It’s got a bit of stickiness but just the right kind of cling.
Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Shimmer Brick - Used just a hint of this instead of blush since it’s also got a pink beige undertone, adds a bit of sophisticated glow.
