Avène Ysthéal + Eye Contour Cream was one of my 'thoughtful' buys. I needed a new eye-cream and wanted to try something new and effective, plus the price was just right. It's an anti-aging eye cream specially formulated for the sensitive eye area to visibly reduce the early signs of aging without irritation. Ysthéal + contains Avène Thermal Spring Water to sooth and soften the sensitive eye skin, Retinaldehyde to help conquer the wrinkles and vitamin E to give antioxidant benefits. It's also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic as well as fragrance free. A handy little thing to keep any woman happy with the way her eyes look.
My overall impressions are quite favourable but I can't help feeling a little cheated. Avène Ysthéal + Eye Contour Cream is very lightweight, absorbs into the skin momentarilly, leaving it quite soft and supple. Good moisturizer that has a job done. Otherwise than that it did nothing for me though. I've been using it for over a month and I didn't notice any wrinkles deminishing or skintone improvement. It turned out to be not quite the thing I expected it to, slightly disappointed to tell you the truth. I'll finish this bottle off and either go for something new or come back to my La Roche-Posay Active C Eye Cream. Not because I hated Avène Ysthéal + Eye Contour Cream but because I know there are eye creams that work better for me.
