My Thoughts: Great, feel-good movie for every teenager out there wanting to feel cool.
All jokes aside, this movie was good. It was heartfelt and so damn relatable. I saw the trailer long ago and I thought I would like it and after watching it, I was satisfied, but something was off. This may be because this isn't a typical high school movie. It has themes like death, mental illness, and even sexual abuse. Those kinds of things are not that normal in a typical high school movie and it's different from a lot of things that I've seen.
It was a simple movie, yet there were lots of things going on. Small things, I must mention. Not giant spectacles or events happen, so it feels like just a movie about everyday life. I really did feel like this was a movie where they just followed a kid, who just happened to be Logan Lerman, around. It was very realistic, but not even because of the characters. It was the dialogue, the environment and the feelings that were emitted. It made me feel like this movie was telling my life, as cheesy as it was.
Believe me, this movie did have its cheesy parts, but it was a good flick.
