Movie Review: 'Bone Tomahawk' (Second Opinion)

Plot: When foreman Arthur O'Dwyer's (Patrick Wilson) wife Samantha (Lili Simmons) is kidnapped by a group of cannibalistic Indians, Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell) is forced to take action. Hunt rounds up a posse to track down and rescue Samantha. The group consists of John Brooder (Matthew Fox) a racist bounty hunter, Chicory (Richard Jenkins) Hunt's simpleminded "backup" deputy, and Arthur himself. Together the four head out across the plains in pursuit of Samantha knowing that the Indians they are about to face are savages unlike any of them have ever encountered.

Review: Whatever studio executive chose to give Bone Tomahawk such a limited release last year ought to be scalped. It's criminal that such a unique Western (one of the best in the last ten years) has been regulated to VOD
