More on Eat Drink Perth’s Cider & Sliders Night at The Brown Fox

By Foodie Cravings @foodiecravings

The Brown Fox in West Perth has been one of those old gems I’ve been forever meaning to get to but this to eat list of mine just seems to keep growing. So I’m pretty excited about heading to The Brown Fox this Tuesday (21/4) for their Eat Drink Perth Cider & Sliders night.

Have a read of my interview with Venue Manager Christopher Pollitt earlier this week to find out more about The Brown Fox and their Eat Drink Perth Cider & Sliders night.

Lazy-Dog-Cider

Tell us a bit about your plans for your Eat Drink Perth Cider & Sliders night?

We will have two presenters on the night discussing the ciders styles from around the world. Greg Eastwood who is a director here, will be chatting about our Lazy Dog Cider and we have Andrew Hutchinson who is a big part of Perth’s hospitality culture coming to discuss about some other flavoured cider and giving us the low down on all things brewing.

The food will be matched throughout the night with samples of all the ciders being matched to specific sandwiches and canapés.

What inspired Brown Fox to brew their own Lazy Dog Cider?

The reason that the owners decided to brew their own cider was that they had some friends who grew their own apples and the directors are big cider fans.

Where can we purchase Lazy Dog Cider besides The Brown Fox?

We don’t on sell any of the cider to anyone else just yet but we have had some functions off site that have requested kegs of it.

What’s your favorite cider and food matches (in addition to sliders)?

We like to match to match our crispy pork belly and chorizo. We also have a lot of specials that we match with our Lazy Dog Cider [which includes] pastas and various meaty salads, this along with our sliders.

Are there many tickets left for your Cider & Sliders night and for those interested in coming along, how can they book?

There are a few tickets left [at $30 each] but with all things Eat Drink Perth they are getting snapped up pretty fast. Any tickets enquiries/bookings should be emailed to [email protected] or simply ring and ask for Nina or myself on 9425 5222.
