Monday Munch | Vegetarian Food Diary | Part 3

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
It’s Monday Munch time again, so here’s another look at an average days meals and snacks in the Juicy Satsuma household.

Breakfast Monday Munch | Vegetarian Food Diary | Part 3
For a change from my usual breakfast smoothie I had some cereal. This Mesa Sunrise cereal is gluten and wheat free, and is made up of corn, flax, quinoa and amaranth. It’s so simple but so delicious.

I’m not a big fan of cows milk, and Mr Juicy is lactose intolerant so we rotate between unsweetened soya milk and almond milk. A modern day Delia I ain't!

Lunch Monday Munch | Vegetarian Food Diary | Part 3 For lunch I had a red pepper stuffed with risotto and mushrooms. This was leftover from dinner the night before. I can’t take credit for this, it was from a Marks and Spencer's meal! I did however, take the rocket salad out of the packet and sprinkle some (vegetarian) parmesan cheese over it!

Monday Munch | Vegetarian Food Diary | Part 3 For dinner I had this delicious mac and cheese from Amy’s Kitchen. I found this is the freezer section at ASDA. It’s made with rice pasta rather than wheat pasta and it is seriously delicious. Mac and cheese is one of my favorite meals. I also had a sneaky little Weight Watchers mini garlic baguette for mopping up the leftover cheesy goodness!  Snack

Monday Munch | Vegetarian Food Diary | Part 3
In my last Monday Munch post I mentioned how much I love having a Cashew Cookie Nakd bar as a snack. The lovely people at Nakd read my post and offered to send me some more products to try from their range!

My Mum used to always give me raisins as a snack in my lunchbox when I was little. I wish these Nakd infused raisins* had been around back then! I’ve been trying out the cola and the orange infusions and both are incredibly moreish. What’s more, they contain no added sugar, only natural flavouring, they count as one of your 5 a day, and they are only 68 calories per bag! These raisins are also available in cherry, lemon, lime and pineapple infusions. Pineapple *drool*.
I’ve already declared my love for the Nakd Cashew Cookie bars and I am more than happy to sing the praises of the other flavours in the range now that I’ve had a chance to try them out. As with the raisins, the bars are as natural as can be and only contain raw fruits, nuts and natural flavours. They are really delicious, satisfying and they give me an often much needed energy boost. Rhubarb and Custard* in particular is now a firm favourite!
Nakd products are widely available from all of the big supermarkets, Holland and Barrett, independent food shops and online at Natural Balance Foods. Natural Balance Foods currently have 20% off all of their mixed boxes. I’ve got my eye on the Nakd Celebration box which has 6 bags of infused raisins and 12 bars for £10.40!
