Having driven down for the LA County Airshow, I decided to check out this small collection before heading home.  Second fighter of the Century Series, this long-range escort fighter was first flown in 1954 and also served with the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Republic of China Air Force.  The F-101 took on multiple roles of interceptor, fighter-bomber, and photo reconnaisance.  Over 800 Voodoos were built by the time production ended in 1961 but continued to operate until 1984.  Delivered in 1960, this ‘F’ model was a dual-control operational trainer aircraft in service until 1976.  It became part of the Joe Davies Heritage Airport collection in 2005.
