McDonnell Douglas MD-87 / Douglas DC-3

This photo captures over 60 years of Douglas aircraft being synonymous with commercial travel.  The DC-3 first flew in 1935 while MD-80’s entered commercial service in 1980 with production ending in 1999.   Douglas Aircraft was founded in 1921, merged with McDonnell Aircraft in 1967 and ended with the merger with Boeing in 1997.  Nikon D7100 w/18-200 mm, processing with Aperture.
