Make Your Relationship A ‘Forever’ | Relationships

By Heather Hahn @HeatherHahnn

Dating sometimes, or most of the time, can be extremely hard, depending on who you are with and how compatible you both are.

Dating for long periods of time, and for what may feel like you’re actually married after only 4 years of dating, can get a little boring, and start to become a bit dull.

So, i’ve put together just a few things on what can seem to ‘light that spark’ back up again, after you feel like it may have faded away for…good.

1. Surprise Each Other From Time To Time

The littlest surprise can go the longest way, and mean so much to someone. Whether it would be a surprise outing, or just a simple surprise at home, simple gestures like these, can truly light up your significant others day.

2. Take Action In New Activities & Try New Things

Doing the same exact thing over and over can really bring a relationship to its ends. I remember in one of my past relationships, we did the same thing over and over again every weekend, and it just about drove me nuts, because I felt like we just didn’t have the passion to be around each other anymore. Do activities that you two normally wouldn’t do together, or try new restaurants that you maybe haven’t tried yet. You’ll be really surprised when you find out how much there is to this life.

3. Always Support Each Other

Obviously supporting each other in a relationship will always be a number one priority, but supporting each other in a way that you show that you’re proud of one another is always a good thing too. Attend each others work functions/events, and so fourth. Showing support for someone you love should be shown in more than one way.

4. Spend Quality Time Together When It’s Needed

Sometimes just a simple movie night is good enough. Spend quality time together when it’s needed, but a little ‘alone’ time is good too!

 5. Work Towards A Goal Together

It’s easy for lives to drift apart. Compare your bucket lists. Find something you both want to do and go for it. It could be setting a goal like dropping 10 pounds. Or it could be a home improvement project you both have been neglecting. It will give you something else to connect over as well as a sense of partnership.
