The Vintage Fighters P-38 Lightning rests on static display during the 2022 Central Coast Airfest Airshow. With the passing of Jeff Harris in 2013, this P-38 changed hands in 2018, now part of the Vintage Fighters collection. First flown in 1939, more than 10,000 Lightnings were produced, with nine currently airworthy examples. Delivered in 1944, this P-38L was converted to a F-5G reconnaissance bird and retained that configuration in her postwar years until a 1990 restoration with a fighter nose.
