I attended the Los Angeles County Airshow for the first time as the first outing with a new lens. Capturing the USAF Thunderbirds opposing pass maneuver is always a challenge but did validate sharpness of the lens. The team transitioned to the F-16A Fighting Falcon in 1983, and upgraded to the F-16C in 1992. The F-16 has been their aerial demonstration aircraft for the Thunderbirds for over 30 years and is their ninth aircraft type since the team was formed in 1953.
