Listen to a New Dreamy Dark Cut From Andrew St. James [Premiere]

Andrew St. James’ “Trapper” jangles gently onto the scene, his voice one of wearied insistence as he sings cryptically of answers. The self-described “voyeur of modern life’s travails”, often compared to Bob Dylan, crafts his work in the darker territory of folk, confronting the morass of life head on and untangling what he is able. St. James comes across as both weathered and fresh, as the dreamy layers of the track fall away and wash warmly over us. He sings like he believes what he’s saying, like he has his eyes tightly shut to prove it. Listen to the premiere of Andrew St. James‘ “Trapper” above and see him perform it live tonight at Mercury Lounge.
