LG G Watch is Official

LG has finally announced its wearable device, the LG G Watch, powered by Android Wear (Google’s OS for smartwatches).

LG officially announced its G Watch.

The G Watch sports a 1.65in display and a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. It’s powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, backed by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. On the inside is a 400mAh battery and the smartwatch is IP67 certified, which means that it is dust and water-resistant for up to 30 minutes to a depth of one meter.

The smartwatch has an always-on display, which means that you can check the time whenever you want to. It connects with any smartphone running Android 4.3 or higher via Bluetooth. You can check messages, calls etc. without ever taking the smartphone out of your pocket. You’ll be able to get the watch in two colors: Black Titan and White Gold. If your strap wears out, you can replace it with any 22mm strap on the market.

You’ll be able to pre-order the watch at the Google Play Store as of today and it will be available for purchase in 12 markets at first, including the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and South Korea. After that, it will become available in 27 more markets. The price tag for the watch at the Play Store is $229.
