I am a big fan of both the original Law and Order and Law and Order: SVU. And the one thing about both of those shows is, no matter who is shown as the stars in the opening credits, New York is the primary star and character of the show.
So let’s apply this to Scandal.
As I see it, all of the intrigue has been about one thing: Defiance. Defiance is causing most of the other characters to act differently than they did before encountering it.
Doesn’t this make Defiance the main character of the show?
