The weekends wedding at Corfe Castle, was a day that I had wished I wasn’t aware of the weather forecast.
It had predicted an Amber weather warning with showers and wind speeds between 50 – 70 mph!
Working in and around the forces of nature is something often taken in my stride, easily adapting, capturing what is there as opposed to trying to recreate ‘inspiring’ photos on Pinterest or within ‘dream’ wedding magazines.
Working with what is there and making the most of it, is the passion and the continual drive behind the way I work. I’m used to showers, snow, hail, sun, cloud, or the cold…. but 50-70 mph winds! That was going to take some doing.
As the day transpired, my fears of being at the highest & most exposed point in Dorset…slipped away.
Yes, it was chilly, there were showers and the winds blew strong, but Bethany & Chris’ family and friends were great sports. Happy to brave the elements for a few short moments for the essential group shots with no fascinators taken by the winds.
We even managed a great confetti shot, when it was anyones guess as to the direction the wind was blowing!
Congratulations Beth & Chris, who will be on their way to spending Christmas and honeymoon in Hawaii.
The day was amazing! A real Christmas feel running throughout from the Church to the reception at Kingston Country Courtyard.
