Hindu Pirates1 KEEP SUMMER GOING WITH HINDU PIRATES [PREMIERE]

Given how common overnight successes are in an age where music is shared faster than high school pregnancy gossip, it’s rare when a band is given the opportunity to pay their dues. For Huntington Beach’s Hindu Pirates (@hindupirates), though, it was only natural. With their youngest member fresh out of high school, and the rest only a year or two older, they had to be careful not to rush into things.

Formed in 2009, Hindu Pirates worked the scene in Orange County, building a steady following at their live shows hosted in warehouses, surf shops, and house parties. Being first a live band and second a recording band meant news of the young quintet spread mostly by word of mouth. Soon, the band outgrew the garage and started playing heavier weight gigs in LA, and on August 2nd, they’ll perform at the US Open of Surfing with Grouplove.

The group’s surfy, four-track EP was recorded at Hurley’s new studio in Orange County and will help keep your summer going a few months longer. Listen to the premiere of “All For You” below.
