While you may not recognize Jimmy Napes in person, Napes has spent much of his time as an important behind-the-scenes figure, lending his creative talents and writing skills to pen Disclosure’s ‘Latch’, Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’, Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be” as well as working with artists from Jessie Ware to Mary J. Blige. Sounds pretty damn impressive on paper right? Well thankfully it translates into reality.
Napes is set to take his rightful place center stage with the release of his new solo EP ‘The Making Of Me‘. His first single ‘Give It Up‘ is a soulful silky smooth r&b track, with seductive synths, topped off with one infectious hook.
Produced by Disclosures Howard Lawrence, ‘The Making Of Me’ EP is set for release March 8th via Method Records. Napes also featured in Annie Mac’s Bed Time Mix, which is well worth a listen back!
