Not sure how I missed this the first time around, but Blue Note put out a great edition of “Jazz Conversations” earlier this year with two legendary masters of the saxophone – Wayne Shorter & Joe Lovano – talking music with each other. This is as good as it gets for fans of jazz music, but should be of interest to anyone who is into the creative musical mind. Watch it (in six parts) below and then stream “Plaza Real” from Shorter off his newest album Without A Net and “Blessings In May” by Lovano’s group UsFive from his most recent Cross Culture, both highly regarded releases and both out now on Blue Note Records.
