While she was at the NewNowNext awards, Janina Gavankar (Luna) was not only looking fabulous but also talking about True Blood season 5! The folks at Wetpaint were on hand at NewNowNext to ask Janina just what we can expect from this season, including what they’re shooting now. According to the actress they’re shooting episode 8 currently.
As for what’s going on with her character, Gavankar didn’t say too much. But she did reveal that there are lots of complications in the works for her character and others:
“Ha, you know I can’t tell you anything! Things are really, really complicated for Sam (Sam Trammell) and I right now and my daughter. As for the vampires, this is the year of a history lesson. You’re going to learn a lot about the vampires this year.”
When asked about what kind of villain we’re going to see when the show returns, Janina played coy just a little but did admit we’re going to be seeing something big, bad, and scary:
”…I really think that we’re going back to teach people about where it all came from. Kind of….That’s not true — there is something, there is a big bad something this year! There’s a big, bad something this year!”
As for whether Luna and Sam will stay together, Wet Paint got no confirmation about it. But Janina is hopeful they will stay together:
“I hope they stay together, I love loving Sam. I love it! I don’t think anybody understands you like another shifter so you know finding somebody who understands what you’ve been through is very hard.”
