Plot: Follow daring explorer Thierry Jamin through eighteen gruelling expeditions, the discovery of 30 new sites, and the treacherous trek across the Peruvian rainforests on his quest to find Paititi: The Lost City of Gold. Exploring ancient Amazonian pyramids and deciphering map-like petroglyphs, the search is on for the city and the legendary Incan treasure that’s been hidden from the world for 500 years.

Verdict on Incamazonia

Incamazonia is a documentary following Thierry Jamin and his expeditions over the last few years. Searching the Peruvian rainforests for different Inca ancient ruins. Each expedition can come up against problems outside of his control.

The different expeditions take him to different parts of Peru, as the search for the lost cultures becomes clear. The commitment shown through the decades-long searches helps show how important recording the discoveries are.

This is broken down into different journeys, which can make it a more enjoyable bitesize way to get through the 3-hour runtime. Anything that gets to explore the history of humanity is a great watch, with this offering up something new to a culture we haven’t seen before.

Final ThoughtsIncamazonia is a very interesting journey through the Peruvian rainforests.
