Illamasqua-Eye-Liner-Fidelity

Bright nail polishes, vivid eye liners, bold eyeshdows. Who could it possibly be other than Illamaqua?! I’ve been trying out a couple of their medium pencils in shades Fidelity and Debonair.

There are a few things I like about the Illamasqua medium pencils. The first is how well they glide on (after all, no one likes an eye liner which tugs on your eye lids), and secondly is the strength of the color. There’s no need to keep going over the same area to make the color stand out, these eye liners are quick and easy to use. They can also be smudged easily for a smokey-eyed look, but if you just choose to use these as a normal eye liner then I’ve found that they tend to stay put and don’t smudge on their own accord. They are one of the better long-lasting and creamy smooth eye liners I’ve used, but better yet, at the end of the night they come off easily with most make up removers.

I also like that the pencils are really long and I can see them lasting a long time. They come in a wide variety of colours; Fidelity, for example, is a chocolate brown colour, and ideal for those with pale skin, and Debonair is an electric blue which really helps blue eyes to pop. There are a huge range of colours, from neutral blacks, browns and blues, to unusual reds, yellows and purples. Better yet, these medium pencils aren’t just eye liners; they can also be used as lip liners, although I probably wouldn’t recommend using them as lip liners in the colours I’ve got.

Each medium pencil comes in at around £13 which is a bit steep, but I got mine for £5 in their latest sale, which also included free P+P. I’m really happy with them, but I probably wouldn’t pay £13 simply because I don’t wear eye liner particularly religiously. However for a nice treat I think these eye liners are worth it.
