IFly + Hurricane Irma Weekend

By Cait @caitscozycorner
This past weekend was a busy one like I had mentioned Friday. My Uncle came up early Friday afternoon and we're happy to host him while Hurricane Irma takes over Florida and actually part of Atlanta today. I'm actually off of work due to the storm and so far we still have power but very high winds. Let's hope it just doesn't get too bad over here so prayers would be appreciated friends!
IFly + Hurricane Irma WeekendAnyways, as I said this weekend was a busy one for our little family. Saturday afternoon my girlfriend Kimberly and I went up to our favorite salon in Dunwoody, J. Thomas Salon and Spa to get our hair cut and colored. I can't rave more about this salon to all of you who are located north of Atlanta! We both decided to actually change up our regular routines and go totally different!

I decided to go red and you guys, I couldn't love it more! It's such a great color and although I've never really been anything but a brunette my entire life, I'm enjoying the big change. Even Zach kept complimenting it when I came home. Of course, I had to treat myself to the outlet stores that were out there as well and splurged on a pair of boots I've been lusting over the last few years. Hey, I can't pass up a good deal and Tory Burch was having an in store extra 40% off sale so...these babies came home with me!
Sunday was jump and go as we had a lot of things to get accomplished before Hurricane Irma decided to make her way over here today. Zach, Lily and my Uncle went out to get groceries, gas and a few other essentials while I stayed home with Landon and got laundry done and put away, cleaned up the house and began packing for our trip this weekend.

Later that afternoon we all met up with Michael and Kimberly so the boys could finally cash in their Christmas presents that we had given them. What was that fun surprise? They were going skydiving at IFly for the first time. The boys did awesome and both said they loved doing it! There were some people within their group that were almost 6 years old. Of course Lily, the little dare devil that she is, wanted to try and get in on the action but we told her maybe when she turns 4. Eek!
Hoping you are all staying safe and thinking of those in FL right now. Hopefully we dont loose power so I can keep you all updated on how we are doing the next few days! Happy Monday.
