I Control How I Feel.

By Zen_sheila @BeZensational

Each of us has this really, really cool thing built into our being… it is the ability to control our own happiness.  Think of something sad.  Go ahead, like right now.  Think of something I Control How I Feel.sad… like your pet dying.  In about a minute you will notice a reaction in your body… as a result of the thought.  How did that make you feel?  How did you feel in your body?  I bet you experienced something internally that didn’t feel so great.  Pay attention to how your body feels when you are mad, sad, angry, or jealous.   When you think of negative things, your physical body gets sad.  Your cells get sad.  They vibrate at a slower rate.  You just made them do this.  All by yourself.  Just by thinking of something.  Just. By. Thinking.

Now think of something happy! Give it a minute… how did your body feel?  Did you smile, get tingly, did your heartbeat speed up?

Just like when you touch the handle of a hot mug… it might take a few seconds to register in your brain… ouch!  *pull your hand way*… It’s the same thing with thoughts!  It might take a minute or so… but when you think of something sad or something happy… it will register within the body.

With this simple knowledge you can control how you feel in situations.  You simply have to re-direct your focus to something that doesn’t make you sad or mad or angry or jealous!  It really is simple and anyone can do it.  You just have to try… and focus.
