Hylin – Cool Space with Great Coffee & Danishes!

By Foodie Cravings @foodiecravings

As most of you know, I’ve been on the hunt for cafes to catch up with friends during the week. Finding cafes that serve up great coffee and amazing cakes is usually not a hard task as our Perth baristas are some of the best in the country. But with the prerequisite of being baby/pram friendly, it does become a bit tougher especially in metro Perth.

Hylin has been on my list to try for ages so my mothers group decided to brave it out on Monday. We headed there with our four prams in hope that the space would fit us all…one of the mums got there around 10 and secured us the big table at the back. It was tight but we made it work! With babies on laps, we folded up one of the prams and tucked it under the table, then slotted two to the side of our table and one hung out kinda in the kitchen! Kudos to the guys at Hylin who were so kind to let us have it there and carefully stepped around the pram whilst entering / exiting their kitchen. They could have easily said no.

I had a latte which was a smooth blend of Micrology Roasters Coffee beans and Hylin’s house made apricot danish which hit the spot! The pastry of the apricot danish was soft and flakey, the custard and apricot combo was sweet without being too sweet.

The below is my friend’s skinny cappuccino as I pretty much downed my latte the second it was served!

Hylin’s all day chow menu looked really tempting but with a hungry sleepy junior burger on my lap, I thought I’d best not be greedy and save trying it out to our next visit which will probably be with a few less prams and babies

I’ll be back to Hylin in a flash! I scored a free 1-hour parking spot on the street, experienced top notch service, had a great catch up with my mothers group with quality coffee and only parted with $8!
