HABS: Game-by-game Possession-ratings (including Game 6)

By Kicks @Chrisboucher73
The graph included here is an attempt to rate each player's ability to create offense This is calculated by multiplying the number of scoring-chances they create for every 1 attempted puck-possession play by the number of puck-possession plays they contribute per-minute of even-strength ice-time. In theory, the players who rate high using this system not only create more scoring-chances per-puck-possession play, they also engage in more puck-possession plays per-minute played.
This takes how efficient a player is at creating scoring-chances, and combines it with how often they have possession of the puck.
A list of all the metrics I track can be found here
EVEN-STRENGTH POSSESSION RATINGS
Only five Canadiens players produced ES possession ratings in game 6. This is because only 5 Habs contributed to any of Montreal's even-strength scoring-chances in game 6.
Despite his less-than-stellar play during the playoffs, Thomas Vanek was actually the only Habs winger to have directly contributed to a scoring-chance in game 6. The other 3 forwards were Tomas Plekanec, Daniel Briere, and Lars Eller. The only Habs defenseman to directly contribute to an even-strength scoring-chance in game 6 was Josh Gorges.
Rene Bourque's possession rating in game 5 was the top rating produced by any Montreal player during the series, while Lars Eller was the only Habs player to have helped produce an even-strength scoring-chance in each of the 6 games.
Markov had the best, and most consistent ES possession-rating among defensemen during the series, while Brendan Gallagher and Rene Bourque took those honours among wingers.
David Desharnais had the top possession-rating among centres for most of the series, but was unable to help produced any ES scoring-chances during the last 2 games. Max Pacioretty's possession-rating also fell-off during the last few games of the series, as he was unable to help produce any ES scoring-chances in games 4 or 6.
