Grimoff is an Ukrainian boy from the town Nikolajevsk in South Ukraine. He played guitar in many rock bands and some other projects like Dialog, Bestia or Foxtrott. After a long season by playing in clubs from Ukraine and Russia, finally in 2007 creates his own band Grimoff.
Grimoff band has a personal style that fused hard rock and heavy metal, showing a traditional sound at the same time powerful and melodic, characteristic of the heavy metal old school.
These guys like to add a lot of instrumental parts to their music, that contain good guitar riffs and melodic solos. These instrumental parts create an atmospheric sound showing the great talent of the guitarists like 80′s traditional heavy metal, although we can also find some influences of thrash and power metal in some tracks.
In Twisted Games album we can appreciate all this and more. This albums contains ten songs with a very good production. We can enjoy fast and powerful tracks like “Liar” or “Twisted Games”, entirely instrumental songs like “Angel” and melodic songs with great guitar solos like “If You Want To Die”.
Grimoff defines its own style as Thrash’n'Heavy Metal, Instrumental Heavy and New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal. Really, this is the best definition for these Ukrainian guys with great talent and virtuosity.
Ok metal fans, I can only tell you that you may listen Twisted Games album and enjoy it, I think it’s a great heavy metal album, Grimoff offers us a traditional heavy metal of perfect quality.
