GOLDEN GLOBES 2016 Red Carpet | My Best Five in Beauty

By Blessmybag @blessmybag

I didn't catch the live telecast of this year's Golden Globes, but annual A-list award shows always excite me because of the idea of how many production people are involved in serving and grooming the talents from head to toe. To see the finished product is really exciting.

I caught up with some research and browsing of the event online and thought I'd do a round up of my best 5 in beauty among the ladies, with some behind the scenes beauty scoop thrown in. For the most part, I found out who did their faces, and for a couple I managed to Sherlock some of the products. Of course photo sources will be cited at the end and the ladies are not mentioned in order of rank, they're all beautiful in a different way. Read on...

ALICIA VIKANDER

Rolling in and becoming the press darling of the Golden Globes night was none other than Alicia Vikander. If you're not aware of her amazing performances in Ex Machina (with Oscar Isaac) and The Danish Girl (as Redmayne's portrayed wife) then remedy that. Know that this one with her faraway eyes, on point acting, and subtle elegance is currently perusing the IT girl hall.

There was no mention just yet of products used on Alicia but I wouldn't be surprised if Charlotte used her own brand range of makeup, Charlotte Tilbury. The world will be begging Charlotte to post a YouTube tutorial on this one, that's for sure.

Next, we have Kate, who in my opinion, more often than not looks just right at events or on the street. It's kind of a style knack she has, like Rachel Bilson, they rarely ever go overboard on the style front. It's been ages since her Blue Crush days but Kate always looks fresh. I managed to pick up a bit of scoop from Glamour online with regard to what MUA Pati Dubroff used on Kate for the Golden Globes.

Guys, fifteen years is an era. You can tell she loves Pati. My next favorite from the Globes' red carpet is Zendaya who I also noticed from last year's Award nights.

ZENDAYA

Zendaya walked in and she was perfect people kept saying, dress perfect, hair perfect, makeup...as they said...perfect again, like it always is on Instagram. That tiered Marchesa dress will certainly PROMpt others out there...ahem.

"Zendaya: Shimmer. I love shimmery stuff. That's my secret. Once I do all this makeup and I put shimmery powder on, it's like, Oh my gosh-your skin is so fresh and glowy! Nope. It's actually just shimmer powder. Ed. Note: Zendaya filled her shopping basket with Urban Decay's Naked Illuminating Shimmer Powder for Face & Body, $30, FYI. Last question-your brows. They are fabulous. What's your secret? Zendaya: For a long time, I did not let anyone touch my eyebrows, because I had a bad experience. But then I found someone who understands me. Kelly Baker is the only one I let touch my eyebrows. I let her pluck and wax, but she's the only one." - INTERVIEW ON BYRDIE.COM ZENDAYA, HAIR & MAKEUP (possibly DIY), DRESS: Marchesa

Kudos to Zendaya because apparently I'm 99.9% percent sure she pulled a Pia Wurtzbach and did her own makeup yet again. Zendaya admitted to E! and other press groups several times in the last couple of years that she's always keen to do her own.

ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELY

Now, this is where it gets exciting. Newly engaged Rosie Huntington-Whitely is also getting online waves of praise for her look yesterday (to be honest, when does she not, lol). I had a hunch that Monika Blunder would do Rosie's makeup, she's seen in so many photos with her. Monika is somewhat of a blonde A-list MUA favorite, even Amanda Seyfried has her do her makeup. The exciting part is that Monika posted a snapped flatlay of the Dior products she used while waiting for Rosie.

Last, but not the least, the girl, who played the girl with a dragon tattoo.

For some reason Rooney Mara looks perpetually Tiger Lily stunned throughout the red carpet event this time...she was somewhat statuesque, but pay it no mind, her makeup rocks.

Rooney Mara's makeup artist Kate Lee also did Kristen Dunst for the night, to my dismay Kate the MUA didn't post the products she used on Miss Mara, only what she used for Kristen.
