Gold Pale Ale – Farmageddon Brewing Co-Op

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Farmageddon Brewing Co-Op in Northern Ireland comes their "Gold Pale Ale". The beer pours a light straw yellow colour with a white head. The aroma consists of citrus, grapefruit, yeast, grain and some hops in the finish. The flavour is of grain, bread, citrus, grapefruit, yeast, resin, earth and bitterness. There is almost a farmhouse flavour to the beer and I am not sure if that is from the yeast or what. The alcohol content comes in at 4.2%. This may be the only time I get to try this brewery as it was a bottle brought back from family on a holiday but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend checking out the brewery if you find yourself in Northern Ireland or where there beer is sold!

Commercial Description: This is a golden, light bodied and dry sessionable ale. Simcoe, Amarillo, Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic combine together to give a burst of tropical, fruity hop punch.
