On a tip from Melanie from You Are My Fave, I entered the Kentucky Derby Hat contest at The Today Show. Well, I was notified today that I'm one of three finalists. Ha! They're flying me out to NYC on Wednesday and I think I'm going to be on the Thursday show. I don't really know how they select the winner, but if it's by the audience vote, will you vote for me? I don't even know what you win if you're selected the winner, but in my dreams I win enough money to fill a swimming pool of gold like Uncle McDuck.I'm going to stick around NYC for a few days and then head on down to DC for a few days too. East Coast, I love you. Let's be friends! Would there be any interest in some paper flower workshops in DC or NYC? If so, let me know and I'll get something going.
Oh, and this is the hat that I entered. A huge paper flower hat. Because, you know, I like flowers and big things.
