Girl Does Geek

By Katyscarlett @_katyscarlett

I first met Faye at the London Blogger Meet back in August. My first impressions was that she was painfully shy and stupidly clever in all things blog related. Over the months, not only has my aspirations of her grown, but so has her knowledge.
Not content on having a successful fashion blog All These Pretty Things and offering a blog design service at very reasonable prices, she decided that there was a gap in the market that there were not enough UK tech blogs. After always being bombarded on twitter with blog tech and design queries, (I'm guilty of doing this to her!) she decided to set up Girl Does Geek, a blog solely dedicated to help from everything to changing your blog font to SEO.
For people like me that don't even know what HTML stands for let alone how to change it, Girl Does Geek is an absolute god send! I've already used her tip on how to remove drop shadows from images in blogger, and you know what? It was pretty bloody easy, and contrary to my belief the internet didn't explode.
Next on my to do list are these three tips:
1. Free Facebook/Twitter icons to download
2. How to create a horizontal navigation menu with images
3. Free Blogger Themes
I'm really big on supporting the blogging community especially when they start on a new venture like when I commissioned Jaymie to do my header. I think Faye has done absolutely brilliantly and can see this new blog being just as successful as her fashion blog. I'm not asking you to commission her to do your blog design, just take a quick look at her new VERY helpful blog, and if you happen to use one of her tips, comment and let her know, it'll make her day!
What tips and tricks to do you do to change and help your blog? Let me know!
