This rather fine sign in Catford is largely obscured by the bank next door. As so often, this isi a mixed blessing: while it is now easy to miss and difficult to photograph, it has been protected from the worst of the elements. Indeed, the difference in shade between the upper and lower parts shows how important that protection has been. The sign reads:
