Salt Cathedral’s “Justified” is a song you want to metaphorically hold in your hands, inspect from all angles and admire its bending, twisting and absolute thrilling mix of genres. What starts out as gentle dubstep morphs seamlessly into electro/alternative pop. As the song floats onward, melodic synths gather and spread like storm clouds over Juliana Ronderos’ choir-like vocals. By the two and a half minute mark, there’s wild Warpaint-like thrashing of guitar, cymbals and vocals — a fierce kaleidoscope of all things wonderful.
