Fluffy Owl

The great thing about torn shapes of brown paper is that they look like fuzzy feathers. My kids had a lot of fun making owls this week, and I can promise you that no two were alike. 1. Students cut a gray branch and glued it down to a sheet of black paper. I love the Recollections paper from Michaels as it is BLACK, not faded gray like most construction paper. 2. One or more shades of brown paper are torn into little feather shapes. It’s best to start at the bottom and build to the top. 3. Use a 2" hole punch to cut eyes. Add more torn feathers in a circular pattern around them.  4. Add a cut orange mouth, and claws if time permits.
