Dutch singer-songwriters Nico Kerver and Oscar Langerak have been making music together since 1992, playing in various band. Every now and then they find the time to make an album with their duo side-project Flowers For A Lonely Soul. III contains plenty of their usual cheerful electro pop songs (This Is Not Boring), but there are a couple of thoughtful ones too, with When George Walked Out about George Harrison as the stand-out track.
Flowers For A Lonely Soul are capable of making pleasant sounding albums. However, the music itself is rather faceless. All dots are properly connected, but a few loose ends and left turns could have made it more interesting. If you name a song Let The Good Times Roll you'd expect something wild, not a bashful song that never gets any traction.
III is a self-released album.
