Swimsuit shopping is one of those things that I dread. Does anyone find that fun? And it’s not because of a lack of self confidence! I am happy with how my body looks. Would I like to make a few changes? Of course. Life is way too short to spend time worrying about those kinds of things. I workout hard, eat healthy and take care of myself. Knowing that I do all of those things helps me be happy with what I do have.
We are coming up on being in our house for one year and it feels fantastic. It feels like home (which I haven’t really had a feeling of since I was a teenager still living at my parents) and we’ve made a few changes to really make it feel like our place. One of those is cleaning up the pool area! When we were looking at houses a pool was NOT on my list of features I wanted. The house we wanted had one and it wasn’t enough of a negative to make it a deal breaker. So now we (Scott) has a lot more work to do to keep that pool clean. But if its clean and the weather is nice enough we might as well be in it!
A major requirement of my summer weekend wardrobe is swimsuits and coverups. If we are outside all day chances are we will end up in the pool at some point in time. And with that pool time in mind I was in desperate need of a few new swimsuits. It was perfect timing that Figleaves was doing a campaign to spread awareness about their great swimsuits. I opted for the Congo pattern, something really different than anything else I own! Loving the bright pink and black. The top has enough coverage and a little extra oomph while the bottoms are not teeny tiny either. We have lots of friends with kids and I don’t need my booty hanging out…
