Fashion | Couture Fashion Week New York

One of my aims over the next few years is to attend London Fashion Week. Not only do I love seeing where our highstreet is going to get next season inspiration from, but I also love seeing all the street style that surrounds the events. I get so many ideas from looking at pictures from street style photographers and images from the catwalk. Even if you're just taking a particular color from a catwalk, it's inspiring you in some form. Fashion Weeks are the places to be when you're in that industry and nothing speaks luxury fashion to me like Couture Fashion Week Fashion Week, an exclusive event that's held twice a year.

This year, it is the shows 20th season and is taking place September 5th-7th and is situated at the Crown Plaza Times Square right in the heart of New York City. You can watch a short video here and gain a little bit of insight of what I'm going on about. I don't know about you, but I'd love to be sat on that front row surrounded by all those VIPS and press, just so I could sit and stare at their beautiful make-up, or even better, be backstage! Not only are there runway fashion shows full of deluxe garments but the event also hosts fine art exhibits, receptions, after parties (I can only imagine!) and world-class entertainment. The event has become so popular that it is branching out and will be doing shows in Cannes and Monaco next year in May.
