Aviation Nation is an airshow held in November at Nellis AFB and marks the end of the airshow season for the Thunderbirds. Among the many static display aircraft was this A-10 bathed in the light of the Golden Hour. Introduced into service in 1977, this stalwart close air support aircraft continue to perform its duties as only it can, despite renewed calls for its retirement. With a variety of upgrades and wing replacements, the A-10’s service life may be extended to 2028. Nikon D70 w/28-85 mm, re-edited with Aperture.
