I headed along to the 2017 Every Woman Expo this month which had 263 exhibitors encompassing advisory, food, fashion, health, wellbeing and fitness, and for the very first time it was FREE ENTRY and looks set to continue in coming years. Some of the highlights are featured below. Every Woman Expo 2017 Wrap Up
Almond Breeze has made the first almond milk in Australia specifically for baristas. I tried a smoothie and it was creamy and delicious. It is available in Coles and Woolworth stores. I'm not really a huge yoghurt fan but the amazing Mundella caramel and pineapple flavour may almost have made me a convert!

The Celebrity Kitchen allowed you the opportunity to sit back and learn how to stir fry salmon, slow cook chicken stroganoff and make the ideal Yorkshire pudding pancake. Sessions varied throughout the weekend.

It was a weekend of indulgences so you would have been wise to take advantage of the offers available. The Podium had loads of cool speakers including The Heart Foundation stories and how to look after your wellbeing, as well as workshops on making flower crowns and Kombucha. Endota Spa tempted you to indulge in a 15 minute FREE head, shoulder or neck massage. The Angove Beauty Bar was also offering FREE mini makeovers including eyelash extensions and hair styling!

When hunger pains struck there were a range of food options besides the usual burger and hot chips. Saigon Eats had Lemongrass chicken skewers, pork spring rolls and Banh Mi all for $10 as well as roast pork noodles for $14.

For healthy eaters the Mundella Cafe and Bar had a make your own salad section for $11.60, and tables and chairs to sit and relax which overlooked the catwalk so you could watch the fashion shows.

The hot food at the Mundella Cafe available on Friday was chicken and fennel fricassee, fragrant rice, feta gozlemes with seasonal baked vegies for $14.70, and a hot dessert of ricotta cheesecake with confit pineapple for $6.90.

Other takeaway choices included the very popular Jumplings - Japanese pan fried dumplings - with choices of duck, chicken vegetarian and seafood ranging from $11 - $12. Or the very colourful chicken and chorizo paealla for $15.

If you wanted to finish up with sweets then you could purchase nougat, rocky road, donuts from various stalls or these delectable desserts from Blossum Wholesome Food & Bakes.

Last year 11,000 people walked through the expo to experience the variety of things to do and see, worth checking them out next year at the Perth Convention Centre.
