bareMinerals are the kings and queens of mineral makeup and on Sunday, I spent the most fabulous afternoon with them.

With an early start venturing from my small North East town up to Glasgow, Scotland, I was so ready for the brilliant day ahead despite some train troubles! A six-hour round trip bloody well worth it.
Venturing up the shop-filled Buchanan Street, I spied the Powder x bareMinerals pop up truck right at the top in all it's cutesy glory.
There it was a beauty lover's heaven; products spreading the walls (literally!), a GIF-style selfie station and bareMinerals makeup artists ready to give the people of Glasgow an Original Foundation SPF 15 makeunder.
The pop-up event was celebrating the bareMinerals Original Mineral Foundation SPF 15 (£26.50) which I have been obsessed with over the past few weeks, but more on that later! I mean, there's a reason it won a Best Beauty Stylist award last year and is the UK's #1 mineral foundation! Only last week, they picked up the award for Best Mineral Foundation for the second year running!
I sat down with Paula, the Assistant Manager of the Glasgow bareMineral's Boutique, to chat all things beauty whilst she gave my (now bedraggled) make up a glow up. The Original Foundation SPF 15, has a mineral base which feels so weightless on the skin, it’s as if Paula was buffing air onto my skin.
No cake-face present. NUH-UH.
I also found myself chatting to George, who works in Education at bareMinerals and we spoke about the brand. We were chatting about how the foundation has recently expanded from 20 shades to 30 shades to ensure that there's a shade for everyone.
DIVERSITY IN MAKEUP IS IMPORTANT YO.
Like super important, other brands make note and show up!
I loved hearing that bareMinerals pride themselves on their customer service, which was so evident from being in the room and watching the ladies work with potential customers. They call it the 'Girlfriend Experience' because that's exactly how chatting about makeup should be, right?!
Just like you're chilling with your gal (sans wine, sob).
So, how have I found the foundation?
Well, I popped to my local bareMinerals counter a few weeks ago now and was met with the warmest of smiles to be shade matched.
There was no being stuck over which of the 7 or 8 shades would be the closest match as, like I mentioned, it is now available in a whopping 30 true-to-you shades, ranging from fair to the deepest deep. I was matched to the shade 'Medium Beige' and given the Beautiful Finish Brush (£26) that works so perfectly beside it.
Now I'd never, that's right, never used a powder foundation before. But using the recommended 'Swirl, Tap, Buff®' technique makes it so much easier and after a few goes, I was buffing my way to flawless skin like I'd never buffed before.
Swirl your brush in the teeniest bit of powder from the lid, tap off the excess and buff into the skin in circular motions.
With 5 mineral ingredients, it is makeup so pure you can sleep in it™.
I never knew that a powder foundation would make my skin look so sheer yet full and so, so, freakin' FLAWLESS. *click-snap*
Just like Yonce. & I'm allllll 'bout that life.Megan. xo*Some posts may contain PR/Gifted samples, please read my disclaimer here for further information*
