Essence Mono Eye Shadow in Shrimp Me up Review, Swatches and EOTD

By Natasha Bhatt
Hi everyone,Hope you all are having a great week so far. Today I shall be reviewing the Essence Mono Eye Shadow in Shrimp Me up.I have been into eye make up since the last few months which was never the case with me if you would have known me before as I was a lipstick maniac Lol. I only cared about lipstick, I still do but I do not buy a lot now and stick to few nice ones. I hope that changes though soon. Essence is a European brand as some of you may know. They do have a whole make up collection including everything like eye shadows, lipsticks, glosses and even foundation, concealer bronzer etc. I got this eye shadow as I had read a review somewhere that it is a nice pink shade so I grabbed it immediately. Let us find out more about this eye shadow in my review.

The eye shadow as I mentioned is a mono/single eye shadow and they come in a variety of colors. The packaging is transparent and the color of the eye shadow is easily visible through it. There is a nice deign/print on the eye shadow which makes it attractive to look at. The cap shuts well but opening is a bit difficult as my nail got chipped due to it :/ Other than that for the price decent packaging and it is travel friendly too.

The eye shadow is a pink color or rather in the packaging it looks pinkie coral. It does have finely milled golden and silver shimmer which is not visible at all to the naked eyes unless you watch it closely. The eye shadow is decently pigmented. Now the point to be noted that I have pigmented lids so generally I do a lot of prepping like using a pan stick or foundation/concealer and then using a powder to neutralise the color of my eye lids. To be honest you really need to pack on this eye shadow for intensity. In the EOTD I have used it wet for more intensity. So in short you can use it dry   for soft effect and wet for more intense effect. With an eye shadow primer it will easily last for atleast 6 hours.I used this on my birthday and it survived the heat and sweat. Hence I would say that it is a decent eye shadow for the price and a must try as the fallout is hardly anything and does not contain chunky glitter too. The Good:Easily available in Mumbai and Delhi across the counters.Available online on medplusbeauty site. Can be used dry or wet.Sturdy and travel friendly packaging.Economical.Eye shadow is visible from the outside due to clear packaging. The not so Good:Pigmentation could have been better.Availability is an issue for many.Ingredients list missing.Rating:4/5Considering the inflation in terms of make up products I would say this eye shadow is a decent option to try. They have many shades and you will definitely find something worth it in this collection. It is ridiculous how they increased the price of the eye shadow by 50 bucks only 6 months after launching. Ahem!! yet I recommend this eye shadow to all.I hope this review was informative to all. Please leave a comment below I do read and try reply to all of them.
